Skills for collegiate Gamers

This page covers three skills I am practicing while building my website.

Oganizing content: I use headings to seperate information into sections. This makes the page easier to scan. I checked that the headings were in the correct order and that each section had a clear purpose.

What I did and What I checked

What I Did

I used heading to organize my website content and seperate different topicsinto sections. This helps visitors find informationmore easily.

What I Checked

I checked that my headings were clearand organized in the correct order. I also made sure each section was easy to understand.

Creating Descriptive Links: I want visitors to find useful information without guessing where the link takes them. I am practicing using link text that describes the destination instead of vague words like “click here”. I check that the link works.

Improving the Mobile Layout: I am practicing making a website readable on computers and phones. I used a two-column layout to organizw information and will check that the columns stackk vertivally on a narrow screen without cutting off any text.

Revision notes:

I changed the width of my columns to make the content easier to read. I also improved a blog post title and rewrote it paragraghs to make the information more cleaar for students interested in collegiate gaming. On mobile, the columns stack on top of eachother, making the content easier to read on a smaller screen. I applied what I learned about website layout, navigation, and mobile-friendly design.
